Excursion & Health Expo

Chinese Garden & Aquarium

Last Tuesday we went on an excursion to the Chinese Garden and the Aquarium. We worked very hard at answering the ESL worksheets provided by the Aquarium in their website. If you want to do more work, have a look at the Aquarium educational kits.

When we were coming back Asha rang Aleya to tell her that she had won one of the Library week prizes. Congratulations!

Listen to my message in voicethread and record your own. If you do it at TAFE, you have to come to the teacher's desk.

Your blogs

Today you can write a post with a recount about the excursion and add some photos of the day. You can use bubbleshare, smilebox, voicethread, slide.com or flickr for your photos.

You can also watch this smilebox, Aquarium, which has video of you having lunch (I know, in the Chinese Garden, not the Aquarium, but I was putting the videos together in this smilebox fro video & photos), some fish and the dugong. Enjoy it and try it at home.

Health Expo

Congratulations to Pat! Just back from Thailand and she won not one but two of the Health Expo prizes! Asha was lucky again and was given a Pampering Voucher for her and three friends. How lucky these two are!

We read about obesity in Australia and answered all the questions in the worksheet except the last discussion point. Go to our forum and write your opinion there.

Your blogs

Write a recount about the Health Expo in your blogs. What is it? What did you do? How did you feel? Was it worth helping? Did you get anything out of it? Would you do it again?

I'll publish your podcasts asap. Keep watching...

Vocabulary

The other day we were looking at the difference between adjectives ending in -ing & -ed. Do this exercise from Gapfillers: -ing/-ed and feel free to explore the site for other exercises.
